It uses the proven SRAM Guide design and also their technologies. With a larger PiggyBack™ reservoir and a larger diameter four-piston caliper, it offers consistent and reliable performance for all heavy-duty applications. Bleeding-Edge™ technology makes maintenance a breeze in the process.
Elegant, easy to use and yet enormously powerful. The Code R impresses with a DirectLink™ lever that fits perfectly to the extra-large Code caliper with four pistons. The proven SRAM ergonomics are complemented by the tool-free grip width adjustment, so that every driver finds his optimal fit and the first-class braking performance, consistency and modulation fully comes into its own.

Technologies:
Bleeding Edge™:
Bleeding Edge™ technology allows for quick and easy bleeding of brakes. Thanks to the special fluid channel and specially designed bleed hole, the fluid can be pumped more easily through the caliper. A special adapter can be plugged onto the bleed hole and seals the system to prevent air ingress and fluid loss.

TPC Plus™ (Timing Port Closure):
The timing port of a hydraulic brake is the connection between the reservoir and the master cylinder bore. When the lever is depressed, a cup sleeve passes through this area and closes the port, pressurizing the system. SRAM's new TPC Plus™ system for closing the synchronizer port features durable seals and an ultra-soft cylinder bore surface for reliable and consistent braking performance.

Expandable Bladder:
SRAM's brake lever design incorporates a new bladder shape to regulate and reduce air bubbles. The bladder is specially shaped to pump air out of the lever and transport the fluid exactly where it is needed. The result is improved back pressure relief for reliable and consistent braking performance.

PiggyBack™ Reservoir:
The brake fluid reservoir on SRAM's latest lever design is designed for optimum performance and ease of handling. The PiggyBack™ reservoir offers a simple and safe solution to control the brake fluid and also allows the mounting of the levers on both sides - so you can swap your levers on the handlebars and easily brake as on a motorcycle.

Reach Adjust:
Brake lever fit and ergonomics is a very personal thing. Riders have individual position preferences as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. The Reach Adjust makes it child's play to adjust the lever for maximum control with just one finger.

DOT 5.1:
Heat is the enemy of any braking system. Better heat management will also make your ride much safer. DOT 5.1 has been found to take three times longer to reach boiling point than DOT 4. This ensures smooth and non-decreasing braking power under even more extreme conditions.

DirectLink™:
SRAM's DirectLink™ lever design provides a solid, positive braking feel as soon as the brake lever is pulled - an uncompromising solution for precise control.
