The DEORE M6100 brakes are available in two versions - with an XC-specific two-piston brake caliper or with a four-piston brake caliper for trail/enduro use. Both versions share the same revised brake lever, whose design with additional support on the handlebars ensures a stiffer construction and therefore better controllability and higher braking power. The brake levers are also equipped with SHIMANO's proven SERVO WAVE technology, which uses the first part of the lever travel to quickly bring the pads close to the rotors and provides plenty of lever travel in the second part for the actual, powerful and controllable braking process.
