The Dartmoor Blackbird Junior is just as much fun on the trails for young bikers as the "big" Blackbird is for adults. With 130 mm suspension travel at the rear and a choice of 130 or 140 mm at the front, the trail options are extended, while the 26-inch wheels make the bike easy to control for 140 to 160 cm tall riders.
The aluminum frame of the Blackbird Junior has a balanced geometry designed for kids. The small frame triangle, the low bottom bracket and the low standover height ensure safety and good handling. Not only the stable construction of the frame, but also the 130 mm travel at the rear and the option of installing a fork with 130 and 140 mm travel show that the Blackbird Junior is designed for tough trails and bike park runs.
But it is just as suitable for first experiences on trails with safety and fun. The 26-inch wheels keep the agility high. With tire clearance of up to 2.5 inches, it can also be used with coarse-tread gravity tires. The threaded BSA bottom bracket and externally routed cables and lines make maintenance work easier.
