With the aim of constantly evolving, Campagnolo enriches the variety of drivetrains with another technically sophisticated innovation: the mechanical Record groupset with 12 gears. An emblematic brand, synonymous with the greatest successes in cycling all over the world, both in professional and amateur races. The victories that this groupset for racing bikes has achieved over the years are proof of the exceptional quality of the workmanship, the technologies used and the high-quality materials that have always distinguished the groupset and made it a unique, outstanding product.

The 12th sprocket marks the beginning of a new era that offers cycling enthusiasts unprecedented versatility combined with Campagnolo's typical quality and reliability. With the Record 12x2 project, Campagnolo started from scratch with the aim of redesigning all the components from the ground up to improve their performance while maintaining the proven dimensions to ensure full compatibility with the frames and wheels available on the market. The range of the mechanical drive system is completed by the Disc Brake components. The hydraulic disc brake combines high performance with a controllable braking action without increasing maintenance requirements or making wheel changes more difficult.

Ultra Torque
-system. The crank can be mounted on all frame models, both with disc and rim brakes, as it optimizes the chain line on frames with rear installation widths of 130, 135 or 142 mm without compromising the Q-factor, which is 145.5 mm like its predecessor.

The innovative shape of the outer chainring and the contoured pin guarantee fast and quiet shifting. In addition, the symmetrical tooth shape on the inner chainring improves stability when the chain crosses

Thanks to the increased use of carbon fibers on the crankarms with double standard bolt circle (112 and 145 mm), the weight has been reduced. The chainrings are attached with eight bolts, which increase the rigidity of the component. The different number of pins for each of the three gradations (50/34, 52/36 and 53/39 teeth) optimizes their engagement behavior and thus facilitates upshifting. Furthermore, the relief of the outer chainrings simplifies downshifting in the dead zones of the pedalling motion and thus improves performance.

Features and benefits of the Record crank
