Item description: Focus Sam2
Selling my trusty 2019 Sam2 because I ride it too rarely.
It has served me faithfully for 5 years and although you can see the age a bit, it is still in top shape.
The following components deviating from the standard equipment are installed:
Brakes: Shigura (Shimano XT grips, Jagwire cables and Magura MT5 brake pads) 220mm at the front, 200mm at the rear. The brakes bring even the heaviest riders (like me) to a safe stop at all times.
Wheels: DT Swiss 370 Hybrid Hubs with Alex Rims EM 30 for 160kg system weight. With CushCore front and rear. Full Disclosure: Rear wheel is sometimes flat after several days, so should be checked before trail use.
Drivetrain: Rear derailleur was upgraded to X0 after the original broke. (Only the rear derailleur, not the whole drivetrain).
Other components:
RS Yari 170mm fresh lowerleg service.
RS Delux R 210/55 (170mm frame travel)
Shimano Steps E8000 was replaced in 2022 after a defect.
The bike comes with 2 batteries, one 378Wh fixed and one 378Wh external battery. Both are no longer completely fit due to their age, but are still more than sufficient for longer rides or climbs.
As I always sell my bikes honestly and without hidden defects, I am aware of the following damage/problems:
Seat post jams slightly at the bottom. Most of the time you can fix the problem by bumping it with your knee, but a seatpost service could definitely help.
Frame has major paint damage on the down tube above the motor. This is from the roof rack. Thanks to the aluminum, this is only cosmetic, but it is noticeable. Picture to follow (have to clean again 😉).
Paint on the top tube and stickers damaged. I've been riding the bike with Dyedbro frame protection all these years, but towards the end it was already looking very tired and when I removed it, unfortunately some of the stickers and the clear coat on the top tube came off with it... but the one underneath is still almost virgin.
This damage is already included in the price. In general, you can negotiate the price as long as you don't become impertinent. -> no "what's the last price" requests please!
