Item description: Kent Eriksen Brad Bingham Moots Titan Fully Ventana XX1 Industry Nine
Absolute cult bike. Handmade titanium bike by Kent Eriksen (Moots founder), welded by Brad Bingham (former Moots lead welder, has now taken over the business from Kent). For 15 years they have won every award imaginable for custom titanium bikes. See photos of the welds, amazing that this is even possible.
The full titanium frame with Ventana rear triangle alone cost € 8,000. Front and rear 120 mm travel
The bike was made for me, I am 188cm tall. It should fit very well for riders 180-190. Seat tube is 49cm and ETT 635.
With Industry Nine wheels with spokes in detent colors and color transition from gold to red (!). The very elaborate color transition was a one-off special series and I was only able to get hold of one set because I knew the guys from i9. Industry Nine hubs in green. No longer available from i9 and real collector's items.
Mint Maverick DUC32 suspension fork from RockShox founder Paul Turner (alternatively 140mm Fox Factory Talas also possible). Crank Brothers Mallet 11 pedals. Complete 1x12 Sram Eagle drivetrain. Wide Moots handlebars. Thomson dropper. Formula Cura brakes. Maxxis DHR and DHF tires. Shock with Push Industries Tune. Chris King headset of course. Salsa Rasta quick release
Bike is anything but heavy overall, had it once with lighter tires and without dropper at 11.2kg without pedals, currently it is at a moderate 13.3kg despite robust all-mountain construction.
