Newly built Cannondale Super Fatty D with 80 mm travel suitable for V-brakes and disc brakes
Problem position: Fork was completely rusted and the shock unit had never seen a service

Cleaning the air cylinder
Service with replacement of the two performance gaskets, better than the original gaskets. Very fine response
New valve
New air chamber and air piston with the two seals greased
Oil damper/cartridge service:
Old oil removed
Disassembling the cartridge
Cleaning the inside of the cartridge
Replacing the defective seals
Replacing the two defective shims
New filling of the damper cartridge
Linear bearing service with optimization:
Telescope measurement
Tracks optimized and replaced (4 pieces inner race plus 4 pieces outer race)
4 new HD 161 needle bearings fitted
1 new race clip fitted
Pressure compensation valve checked and cleaned
Lower puncture protection O-ring renewed
Needle bearings and raceways regreased
Linear bearing reset performed
New bellows HD191/BLK fitted
New lower control bearing fitted

I am the only technician in Saarland who has been servicing Lefty and Headshok suspension forks since 1993.
Since 31.12.2012 I have retired due to my age and no longer carry out service.
