The S-Works Epic Hardtail is the lightest and most capable carbon hardtail frame we've ever developed. Any questions? Actually, that sums it up pretty well, but of course we won't leave it at that. The S-Works frame is an impressive 140 grams lighter than the already lightweight Epic hardtail frame and uses our FACT 12m carbon to make every gram counter swoon. On the other hand, it offers riders enough performance and composure to nibble away extra seconds on the world's XC trails. The pursuit of the lightest possible bike has long been a race within the race, but at what cost? The battle for every gram has not been fought without sacrifice - XC hardtail race bikes are synonymous with a hard, nervous ride, at the expense of performance and versatility. But who said that fighting such a steed would make you faster? Instead, we realized that the fastest bike is more than just the lightest. And that's where our trail-eating, amazingly comfortable, featherweight and super fast Epic hardtail comes in. Of course, we optimized every inch of the Epic hardtail frame to build the lightest production hardtail frame in the world. But it was also a priority to develop an Epic Hardtail that is as capable as it is comfortable - with aggressive singletrack geometry, increased tire clearance and a frame that is also designed for increased vertical compliance.
