Ergon grips from the Racing series provide effective relief for numb fingers, aching hands and forearms - problems that many bikers are familiar with. The causes of these complaints are excessive pressure on particularly sensitive areas of the palm and possible misalignments of the hand. Thanks to their anatomically optimized shape, Ergon grips provide 100% contact surface compared to conventional round grips, which only offer a contact surface of approx. 60%. This significantly reduces pressure, especially in the ulnar nerve area, making it almost impossible for the hands to fall asleep. The anatomical shape of the Ergon GS series also ensures that the hand position is corrected in all directions of movement. If the grip is correctly adjusted, the hand cannot be misaligned. Overloading of the median nerve (carpal tunnel syndrome) is ruled out and pain in the wrist is prevented.
Size index: As hand sizes can vary considerably from person to person, the Ergon GP and GS series grips are available in two standard sizes, Small and Large. This difference in size refers to the grip width. This means that a larger hand has a better form fit on a thicker grip than on a thinner one. Similarly, a small hand grips a thinner handle much better than a thicker one that it cannot fully enclose. These differences have a direct influence on the overall handling of the bike.
