What is the advantage of such a nut?
The hexagon on the top cap is only a few millimeters high.
It is very easy to slip with the open-end wrench.
A conventional nut/socket wrench is chamfered
and only grips the hexagon at a fraction of its height.
Both can damage the hexagon on the top cap very quickly.

How are the tools made?
The nuts are high-quality steel tools,
where I have removed the chamfer by hand on a lathe.
They are then deburred and the surface is smoothed again with a fine abrasive.
