The E version of our much-lauded RLT gravel bike goes far and it goes fast. The Bosch Performance Line Speed drive system gets a rider up to 45 km/h (Performance Line CX and 25 km/h in the EU) with a 500 Wh battery for longer distances. Bosch leads the category with reliable motors that provide smooth, lag-free pedal assist and are backed by an unparalleled global service network.
What's not so obvious are the details, starting with our RDO carbon construction. Our engineers wanted the battery to be integrated yet easily removable from the outside for maximum charging flexibility. However, this design poses technical challenges that we have solved in an elegant way.
Using FEA modeling and extensive testing, lead engineer George Parry built a robust carbon backbone structure that can withstand the toughest roads imaginable. In fact, the RLT e9 RDO passes ISO mountain bike testing standards. Connected to a one-piece aluminum motor mount, this machine is ready for years to come.
Subtle design features make for incredible versatility. The post-mount disc brake mount makes it easy to switch to flat handlebars with mountain bike brakes. Likewise, our deliberate inclusion of Boost hub and crankset spacing allows the rider interchangeability with mountain bike drivetrain parts. And the brand new RLT e9 RDO carbon fork has the same length as a FOX AX suspension fork. There is even a guide for a dropper seatpost.
