Rocky Mountain Thin Air Limited Edition mit Votec GS 4 Air Quadrat

Hello Rocky Mountain and Votec Retro fans,

here I am selling my Rocky Mountain Thin Air Signature Edition with a Votec GS 4 Air square fork with 120 mm travel. The bike is a rarity and is fully roadworthy, which was rebuilt in 2019. There is a small dent in the top tube, which can also be seen in the first photo. In addition, you have to help a little with the gear lever when shifting the rear gears if the chain does not jump over immediately. It could be a matter of adjustment, but I have tried several times to adjust the gears as precisely as possible. In addition, the Magura hydraulic brake grinds on the rim at the rear, which was and is a childhood disease of such brakes. Apart from that, the bike has no other defects, only minor signs of wear commensurate with its age. It has always sufficed for a hardtail tour in the Thuringian Basin and at 12 kilograms is a flyweight in the MTB sector. The frame size is size M, which means that as a 1.79 meter tall rider I am almost too tall for the bike, which is why it rides very agilely for me. The bike can either be put in a museum or simply ridden. I'm also including the same brakes with accessories (but more worn) and a huge range of spare parts and upgrades for the Votec fork (see photos). At least one more Votec fork can be fitted from this range. The frame and fork were originally built around the turn of the millennium. If desired, the bike can also be converted to disc brakes, as the frame and fork have mounts for this. In order to maintain the fork completely yourself, an instruction manual as well as grease and oil from Steinerdesign are included. Mr. Steiner (former co-founder of Votec) still sells spare parts for the forks in Pforzheim. Bearings for replacement are also included in case the mounted ones become worn. However, the fork has no play at all. The brakes also work perfectly, and I have always found them to be fully adequate for the bike. There is no air in them.
