The Nukeproof Mega has been undergoing constant development since 2009. From iteration to iteration, small incremental improvements have gradually added up to today's thoroughbred enduro race bike: the Mega-V4. 2021 has been a great year for the Nukeproof design team, with several new platforms already coming to market. Shimano STEPS EP8 electric motor drive

When Shimano approached Nukeproof over two years ago with their latest STEPS EP8 system motor technology, they knew the time was right. The development of the Mega V4 was about to take off, presenting the perfect pairing for their first foray into e-bikes. While all Nukeproof bikes have been developed with a focus on downhill performance, no new Nukeproof has more to offer in this area than the Mega V4.
Introducing the Megawatt: A Mega V4 with a motor. Designed to help you maximize the time you spend descending by getting you back to the top faster, again and again (and again).

29-inch front wheel and 27.5-inch rear wheel platform with mixed wheel sizes

The Megawatt shares the race-proven geometry of the Nukeproof Mega, but in an all-new platform with mixed wheel sizes. A 29-inch wheel at the front for maximum rolling efficiency with a 27.5-inch wheel at the rear. This allows the bike to run shorter chainstays and ensures the Megawatt whips around even the tightest alpine trails while remaining stable in any rough terrain. The rear chainstays also benefit from a 3D molded chain guard to protect the frame and run quietly so you can focus on the trail ahead. The Megawatt is offered in sizes Small to XXL and shares Nukeproof's "saddle offset" philosophy with the Mega. Steeper seat angles are offered on larger sizes to optimize the riding position and maximize comfort and efficiency.
