The Transition Bikes Sentinel opens up completely new possibilities on trails and enduro tracks! Thanks to 29-inch wheels in combination with 160 mm travel at the front and 150 mm at the rear, it gives you security and confidence on any trail and can be used universally.
The GiddyUp suspension allows the Sentinel to shine on the trails, because even if the suspension is not perfectly tuned to the rider and the terrain, it still works perfectly. This has been achieved by adjusting the characteristic curve, which also enables efficient pedaling and reduces the impact on the chain. Small bumps are absorbed rigorously and the support in the mid-travel range seems endless with a pleasant end progression. The suspension works so efficiently that a remote lever is superfluous. The lightweight frame comes with an air shock with reservoir that offers 150 mm of travel. The Sentinel can be ridden with both air and coil shocks and can even be fitted with a 140 mm travel shock. The sag can be adjusted from 26 to 32% to suit your own preferences, from playful and reactive to calm and compensating. The pressed-in headset bearings allow you to adjust the steering angle to suit your own preferences. Another highlight of the Sentinel is the short seat tube, which allows a long dropper post and thus unrestricted freedom of movement on the trails. The underside of the top tube has a holder for a spare tube or bar and there is space for a water bottle in the frame triangle. The threaded BSA bottom bracket, internally routed cables for the derailleur and dropper post and external brake line are easy to service. The Enduro Max bearings in the pivot points are standard sizes, so you can get replacements anywhere. The frame is protected by rubber protectors at vulnerable points such as the down tube, seat stays and chain stays. Thanks to the tire clearance of up to 2.6 inches, the Sentinel can be ridden with rough-tread gravity and mud tires.
