Here I offer a brand new rigid fork from Carboncycles. The fork was designed to allow bikes with suspension fork geometry to be ridden rigidly (and significantly lighter). Although it looks like a suspension fork, the aluminum fork weighs only 976g including the Ahead claw in the 21.5cm long 1 1/8" steerer tube.

The installation height is 445mm, so that suspension forks with a travel of 80mm - 100mm can be replaced. The decisive factor here is not the full installation height of the suspension forks, but the installation height when riding, i.e. under the rider's weight. The so-called "SAG" describes this 10-15% of the suspension travel, which is then no longer available. For example, suspension forks with an installation height of 475mm minus the SAG have an installation height of 445-450mm. To ensure that the geometry of such mountain bikes is not messed up by installing a rigid fork that is too low, it is advisable to install one of the forks offered here. Due to the design, which is clearly based on suspension forks, it is also possible to ride tire widths of over 2.5". If a disc brake is fitted, larger wheels such as 27.5" and possibly even 29" are also possible.

The condition is new. A wheel was clamped in the front for a few minutes and traces of this can be seen in the dropouts (please see photos). However, the fork has never been moved and a cone ring has never been fitted, let alone brakes.
