The Big Wig Race offers a fast, stable and fun trail riding experience with 29-inch wheels, a chromoly (CrMo) frame and excellent components. The modern CrMo frame with slack geometry is agile, light and robust, while the RockShox Lyrik suspension tames even the roughest terrain. It is also equipped with a Shimano XT 12-speed groupset with a wide-range 10-51T cassette and hydraulic 4-piston Shimano XT disc brakes.

Nukeproof Horizon wheels and Maxxis Tubeless Ready tires

In addition to its excellent drivetrain spec, this hardcore hardtail rolls on Nukeproof Horizon 29-inch Boost wheels wrapped in Maxxis Assegai and Minion tires, giving you a reliable, fast-spinning and extremely stylish Tubeless Ready wheelset. This bike is ideal for fast trails, alpine singletrack routes, all-day Epics and long-distance adventure rides. It's versatile and reliable for riding anywhere on the planet.
Like the look of the standard Big Wig, but think your riding takes a more extreme route? The Race spec includes a longer 160mm RockShox Lyrik RC to make this edition of the Big Wig the wildest yet.

Shimano SLX 12-speed groupset and Nukeproof Horizon Tubeless Ready wheels

Other improvements over the standard bike include a full SLX 12-speed groupset and Nukeproof's new Horizon wheelset, now used by their multiple EWS winning team. The rest of the spec is the usual blend of performance and reliability that fits the no-nonsense Ragley ethos.

Chromoly frame, Boost dropout spacing and internal cable routing for dropper seatposts

The Big Wig frameset features ISCG 05 lugs, a 44mm head tube, internal cable routing for dropper seatposts and a 148 x 12mm boost rear end. Our steel frames are made from custom triple-butted 4130 chromoly tubing for a frame that's stiff, but lively and comfortable for all-day Epics.
