Suitable for long days in the mountains, fast singletrack with friends and all-mountain epics, the Big Wig Hardtail from Ragley is a versatile fun machine. It has a chromoly (CrMo) frame that is trail-optimized with modern geometry, Boost dropout spacing and excellent components. It is also equipped with RockShox Revelation suspension forks, a Shimano SLX 12-speed groupset with a wide-range 10-51T cassette and powerful Deore hydraulic disc brakes. And this sensational hardtail rolls on Nukeproof Neutron Boost wheels and Maxxis Minion Tubeless Ready tires.
The Big Wig 29er is an outstanding bike; the big-wheeled counterpart to the infamous Blue Pig.
The 29-inch wheels offer unparalleled speed. Thanks to the proven geometry, you have complete control between the choppiest corners. The Big Wig feels especially at home being steered through an enduro race, taking part in a multi-day adventure or simply doing laps at your favorite trail center. Like so many of our bikes, it's a versatile tool that can be ridden almost anywhere by anyone.
Chromoly frame, Boost spacing and slack, modern geometry
The Big Wig frameset features ISCG 05 lugs, a 44mm head tube, internal cable routing for dropper seatposts and a 148 x 12mm Boost rear end. Our steel frames are made from custom triple-butted 4130 chromoly tubing for a frame that's stiff but lively and comfortable. Spec is the usual blend of performance and reliability that matches the no frills Ragley ethos.
