Item description: Banshee Phantom L mit Manitou McLeod Dämpfer
Hello,
I am selling my Banshee Phantom in size L with a Manitou McLeod shock (115mm). I am selling the fully as I am almost exclusively riding my HT.
Here is some info about the bike:
- the Manitou shock 184x44 is adapted to the kinematics and installation length of the Phantom, Highlander tuning by forum user Symion, works really well, no bottoming out, super sensitive at the beginning, good end progression, compression adjustment open - trail - to lockout, end progression can still be fine-tuned using O-rings in the positive chamber/KingCan, easy to maintain
- Rear triangle size 12x142mm (geometry adjustment via flip chips, other dropouts with 12x148mm also possible)
- I am 1.79m myself and the bike is a "tick" too big for me, I chose the L-frame because I have a very long upper body (ideal I think for 180-189cm)
Equipment:
- XT 2-piston brakes with ICE-Tech 180mm discs (fresh service at the specialist store at the beginning of March), new brake pads (ridden approx. 50 km since then)
- Reverb seatpost with invoice at fast forward suspension completely serviced at the beginning of March 2025 (mini scratches see picture)
- Rock Shox Pike with 130mm
- SLX crank with 170mm length, E-Thirteen cassette (11-46) with XT shifter, 11-speed
- Level Nine stem with 40mm, handlebars uncut SQLab 30X aluminum with 12° backsweep, great for the wrists (bought in March 2025), Knock-Block headset
- DT Swiss wheels Spline M 1700 with Specialized Butcher and Ground Control
Now to the most important thing - riding characteristics:
- due to the slack head angle (lots of front wheel in front) and the wheelbase, the Phantom is super stable on the trail, it needs speed to come to life, excellent cornering characteristics (despite light tires at the moment), lots of confidence on steep terrain
- technical, slow climbs and descents are great, the VR never climbs; efficient climbing thanks to the 115mm shock
- I didn't push the shock to the limit with my weight, the rear end feels very stiff
- there are certainly bikes with shorter chainstays that are better suited to tight hairpin bends (transferring)
If you have any questions - feel free to ask! By arrangement we can also talk about a rolling chassis or the frame, shipping possible.
