How did I come up with this idea?
My friend and I were on our way to Lake Garda and while loading the bikes (into his Seat Alhambra) we came up with the idea of mounting the bikes better and more securely in the car - so we designed this bike holder and 3D printed it the evening before we arrived.
This allowed us to transport our ebikes safely standing up in the car (with the front wheel removed). The fork is fixed quickly and easily with the original thru axle / quick release
For mounting this bike fork bracket on a wooden board, we used SPAX screws (always use washers for countersunk screws!).), for the other variant we mounted it on aluminum profiles (aluminum profile 40x60 or 40x80 from a local hardware store). Some also use so-called airline rails or wood, screen-printed, multiplex panels)
The diameter of the axle can be
5mm / 7mm / 9mm / 10mm / 11mm / 12mm / 15mm / 20mm
or also a special size as desired

The bracket always consists of a SET / 2 individual brackets, so the width can be adjusted variably, so it does not matter whether the wheel is with or without Boost Standard . . .
Dimensions / measurements:
The arrangement of the holes on the base plate is 40 x 20 mm.
The mounting / through-holes have a diameter of 6.4 mm
The dimension of the lower edge of the bracket to the middle of the axle hole is 42mm
One holder is 45mm wide
The material was specially developed for industrial applications and is characterized by its high UV and weather resistance. It is therefore particularly suitable for use in the automotive sector and outdoors. The material is fire-retardant in accordance with UL94 HB.
