The Luft Fusion air spring is the final stage in the evolution of air forks.
The shape and sizing of the air chambers result in a perfectly linear spring curve in the first 2/3 of travel, for superior sensitivity, traction and mid-stroke support, then becomes progressive in the last part.
It has no preload at full extension, unlike the Debonair C1. The support it provides allows to use much lower compression damping. It combines all the advantages of air (adjustability, bottom-out resistance, weight) and coil (constant spring rate)
The comparison charts show clearly the improvements, in particular the "spring rate": no fork manifacturer has ever shown theirs, and now you know why!
The system uses a positive and a negative chamber, self equalizing, and replaces the lower air shaft only, keeping the original upper cap and valve (and tokens). There are no special valves, floating pistons, etc. Only one extra seal (static) compared to a standard air spring. No need for external air tanks, dual positive chambers, dual crowns (or 1,5 crowns).
It requires about 60% more air pressure, and adds 60gr.
